Six Strings, Many Visions: The Beatles
February 9 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Six Strings, Many Visions: The Beatles. This musical show, curated by St. Paul guitarist Jeff Perry, features renown MN guitarists performing their favorite Beatles songs in their own unique, and very different, styles. Known for his “hip retooling” of pop songs, Perry has assembled like-minded musicians who see the music of the Beatles as excellent vehicles for imaginative reinterpretation. The audience gets to experience their most-loved Beatles songs given new life in fresh ways. This show features guitarists Tim Sparks, Joel Shapira, and Zacc Harris, along with Perry, supported by the crack rhythm section of Matt McIntyre, bass and Bob Johnston, drums.
Jeff Perry is a St. Paul, MN-based guitarist who has been called “Fabulous…one of the Twin Cities’ best” by the Dakota. While he plays in a wide variety of Minneapolis-area bands and artists including Ray Covington, In2ition, Soul Shack, Tyte Phitt and more, he is known for his “hip retooling” of pop songs (Star Tribune). His original music has been praised by Dave Holland and the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. His trio, Sonic Dream, has played for many high-profile events and organizations including the Minnesota Vikings, Star Tribune, the MN Food and Wine Experience, the Mall of America Black Friday series and many more.
