Miss Myra and The Moonshiners are a formidable 5-piece swing band bringing a fresh female-driven perspective to traditional New Orleans and hot club jazz, playing a broad repertoire of classic tunes from the ‘20s and ‘30s and inspired originals. This act has literally traveled the world and graced stages and radio waves across the nation. Miss Myra’s skillful playing and deep commitment to her craft has earned her top billing and countless write-ups across the Midwest. The Good TIme Gals boast a sound that is wholly unique which has garnered the attention of music lovers far and wide. Co-founded by Debbie Briggs of “Debbie Briggs Vintage Jazz” (lead vocalist) and “Miss Myra” Burnette of “Miss Myra and The Moonshiners” (guitar and voice) and backed by the formidable musical talents of Beth Varela (cello-bass/percussion), and Alissa Jacobsen (fiddle).
