The stellar core of this new large ensemble is the Chris bates Good Vibes Trio—A well established, excellent and popular trio with an outstanding released recording and many years of amazing live performances. BUT, for this performance, FIVE horns are added to the mix and the resulting large ensemble will play an evening-length tribute to Charles Mingus. This could easily be THE highlight of the season at kj’s hideaway. A similar sold out performance of this large ensemble in Minneapolis was the talk of the town for months.
