Amateur is an indie rock band that was formed in Rochester, MN by high school friends lead guitarist Brody Heinzel and frontman Chris Tauzell in 2016. Having their start as a duo playing local coffee shops and open mics to small crowds. Having the want to play bigger venues and having a fuller sound.

COSMIC ORPHAN is the fully-realized vision of husband-wife duo Dan and Stacie Conway. Their debut EP “Be My Guard” is an earnest expression of the complex and imperfect nature of life. Mental illness, marital failures and existential crises are all examined, guiding the listener through a journey of heartache and catharsis.

Integrating maximalist landscapes of sound with sparse, contemplative minimalism, the music of Cosmic Orphan is nothing if not dynamic. Today the band performs with a total of seven members, bringing the full, unabridged sonic experience to their audiences. Their sound is influenced by a range of artists including Arcade Fire, The Decemberists, TV on the Radio, The Cure, Bright Eyes, and R.E.M.
